8 Types of People the Angels Make Dua For

In Islam, angels play a significant role in recording deeds, guarding, and invoking blessings upon the righteous. Among the many beautiful teachings of our faith is the fact that there are certain actions so beloved to Allah that the angels themselves make dua for those who perform them.

Here are 8 blessed People the Angels Make Dua For:

Those Who Remain in Their Place After Salah Doing Dhikr

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “The angels keep on asking Allah’s forgiveness for anyone of you, as long as he is at his Musalla (praying place) and he does not pass wind (Hadath). They say, ‘O Allah! Forgive him, O Allah! be Merciful to him.

Sahih al-Bukhari 445

Those who sit in the mosque patiently waiting for the next prayer are honored by the du’a of angels. Their love for Salah and the House of Allah brings them immense reward.

Those Who Pray in the First Row

“Verily, Allah and His angels send blessings upon those who pray in the first row .”

— [Abu Dawood] (Riyad as-Salihin 1090)

Striving to reach the front rows in congregational prayer is a noble habit, and those who do so are recipients of the angels’ special prayers.

The One Who Makes Dua for Others in Their Absence

Abud-Darda’ (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
“The supplication of a Muslim for his (Muslim) brother in his absence will certainly be answered. Everytime he makes a supplication for good for his brother, the angel appointed for this particular task says: ‘A meen! May it be for you, too‘.”

[Muslim] (Riyad as-Salihin 1495)

Making sincere du’a for others—especially without them knowing—brings not only reward but also the return of that same blessing upon you.

The One Who Visits the Sick

‘Ali bin Abu Talib (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying,
“When a Muslim visits a sick Muslim at dawn, seventy thousand angels keep on praying for him till dusk. If he visits him in the evening, seventy thousand angels keep on praying for him till the morning; and he will have (his share of) reaped fruits in Jannah.” [At- Tirmidhi].

Those Who Sleep in a State of Wudhu

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said,

Whoever retired for the night in a state of purity, an angel will reside with him in his bed. He will not awaken for an hour in the night but that the angel says: O Allah, forgive this servant of yours, for he retired in a state of purity.

Maintaining wudhu before sleep brings continuous blessings throughout the night, with angels praying for forgiveness each time you move in your sleep.

Those Who Teach or Learn Beneficial Knowledge

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “He who follows a path in quest of knowledge, Allah will make the path of Jannah easy to him. The angels lower their wings over the seeker of knowledge, being pleased with what he does…”

(Riyad as-Salihin 1388)

When you’re learning , you’re surrounded by angels, who make du’a and honor your effort.

Those Who Give in Charity

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, ‘O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,’ and the other (angel) says, ‘O Allah! Destroy every miser.’

(Sahih al-Bukhari 1442)

Giving charity not only helps others—it brings the du’a of angels for increase, barakah, and protection from loss.

Those Who Eat Suhoor

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported:

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The pre-fasting meal is a blessed meal, so do not abandon it even if you only take a sip of water. Verily, Allah and His angels send blessings upon those who take the pre-fasting meal.”

(Musnad Aḥmad 11086)

Even the simple act of eating before Fajr in Ramadan becomes a source of blessings. It shows your commitment to fasting, and the angels honor that effort.
