Sending Blessings on the Prophet ﷺ on Friday
Allah the Almighty, and the Most High clearly says in the Quran, that He sends blessings upon the Prophet. He also orders His believers to send their blessings and salutations upon the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) Allah says:
“Indeed, Allah showers His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O’ believers! Invoke Allah’s blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace.” [Quran 33:56]
Narrated Aws ibn Aws:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
Among the most excellent of your days is Friday; on it Adam was created, on it he died, on it the last trumpet will be blown, and on it the shout will be made, so invoke more blessings on me that day, for your blessings will be submitted to me. The people asked: Messenger of Allah, how can it be that our blessings will be submitted to you while your body is decayed? He replied: Allah, the Exalted, has prohibited the earth from consuming the bodies of Prophets.
Sunan Abi Dawud 1047
Sending greetings to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) is one of the most honourable acts of worship. When you do that rewards are written, sins are pardoned, and a person’s rank is raised.
Abdullah bin Mas’ud narrated that :
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 484
Send blessings upon Messenger of Allah ﷺ
