Duas for Parents | Parents are one of the most important blessings that a person can have. Muslims are taught to honor and respect their parents and to treat them with kindness and compassion throughout their lives. This is reflected in the many duas (supplications) that are taught to Muslims for seeking Allah’s blessings for their parents. Dua for parents in Islam is a way to show gratitude and seek Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for our parents, and to ask for their well-being and happiness in this life and the hereafter. These duas is a powerful tool for Muslims to express their love and appreciation for their parents and to seek Allah’s blessings and guidance for them.
Dua for Forgiveness of Parents 1
رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ
Rabbanagh fir lee wa liwaalidaiya wa lilmu’mineena Yawma yaqoomul hisaab.
Our Lord! Forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day when the judgment will come to pass.

Dua for Forgiveness of Parents 2
رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَى وَلِمَنْ دَخَلَ بَيْتِيَ مُؤْمِنًا وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَتِ
Rabbigh fir lee wa liwaa lidaiya wa liman dakhala baitiya mu’minanw wa lil mu’mineena wal mu’minaati
My Lord! Forgive me, my parents, and whoever enters my house in faith, and all believing men and women
Qur’an (71:28)
Dua for Mercy on Parents 1
رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Rabbir hamhumaa kamaa rabbayaanee sagheera
“My Lord! Be merciful to them (my parents) as they raised me when I was young.”
Qur’an (17:24)
Dua for Mercy on Parents 2
رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَـٰلِحًۭا تَرْضَىٰهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِى بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِى عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ ١٩
Rabbi awzi’nee an ashkura ni’mata kal lateee an’amta ‘alaiya wa ‘alaa waalidaiya
wa an a’mala saalihan tardaahu wa adkhilnee birahmatika fee ‘ibaadikas saaliheen
My Lord, inspire me to (always) be thankful for the blessings You have granted me and my parents,
and to do good deeds that please You admit me by Your grace into the ranks of Your righteous servants
Qur’an (27:19)
