12 Qualities that Allah Loves [From Quran & Hadith)

Allah, the Most High, loves many qualities in His servants. These qualities are mentioned in the Quran and Hadith.  We will discuss some of the qualities that Allah loves.

Qualities that Allah Loves [in Quran]

 

Tawbah (Repentance) 

QUALITIES THAT ALLAH LOVE

“For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly (in repentance)” 

بیشک اللہ بہت توبہ کرنے والوں سے محبت فرماتا ہے 

(Surah Al Baqarah 2:222)

 

Tawakkul (Trust in Allah) 

QUALITIES THAT ALLAH LOVE

“For Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).” 

 بیشک اللہ توکل کرنے والوں سے محبت فرماتا ہے ۔

(Surah Ali ‘Imran 3:159) 

 

Sabr (Patience) 

“And Allah Loves those who are firm and steadfast (As-Sabirin (the patient)).” 

اور اللہ صبر کرنے والوں سے محبت فرماتا ہے۔

(Surah Ali ‘Imran 3:146)

 

 

Taqwa (Piety) 

QUALITIES THAT ALLAH LOVE

“for Allah loveth the righteous (the pious).” 

بیشک اللہ پرہیزگاروں سے محبت فرماتا ہے۔

(Surah Al Tawbah 9:4) 

 

Justice

 QUALITIES THAT ALLAH LOVE

“for Allah loves those who are fair (and just).”

بیشک اللہ عدل کرنے والوں سے محبت فرماتا ہے۔

 (Surah Al Hujurat 49:9) 

 

Good-Doers

 indeed, Allāh loves the doers of good.

 indeed, Allāh loves the doers of good.

(Surah Baqaah 2:195)

 

Taharah (Purification) 

“And Allah loves those who make themselves clean and pure.”

“And Allah loves those who make themselves clean and pure.”

(Surah Tawbah 9:108)

 

 

Qualities that Allah Loves [in Hadiths]

 

Kindness

‘A’isha, the wife of Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ), reported that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said:

‘A’isha, verily Allah is kind and He loves kindness and confers upon kindness which he does not confer upon severity and does not confer upon anything else besides it (kindness).

 

Zuhd
It was narrated from ‘Imran bin Husain that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Allah loves His believing slave who is poor, does not beg and has many children.”

 

Continuous Righteous Deeds

Narrated `Aisha:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately and know that your deeds will not make you enter Paradise, and that the most beloved deed to Allah is the most regular and constant even if it were little.”

Sahih al-Bukhari 6464

 

Strength

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

A strong believer is better and is more lovable to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in everyone, (but) cherish that which gives you benefit (in the Hereafter) and seek help from Allah and do not lose heart, and if anything (in the form of trouble) comes to you, don’t say: If I had not done that, it would not have happened so and so, but say: Allah did that what He had ordained to do and your” if” opens the (gate) for the Satan.

Sahih Muslim 2664

 

Humility of the Rich

Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (RAA) narrated, ‘l heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying,

“Allah loves the pious rich maxim who is inconspicuous (free from showing off or hypocrisy).”
