Quran and Hadith Quotes about Durood Sharif

The angels keep sending mercies upon a Muslim until he continues to recite Salat upon me. Now, it is the person’s choice whether he recites less or more.

(Sunan Ibn Majah, vol. 1, pp. 490, Hadees 907)

The supplication is stopped between the heaven and the earth and nothing of it ascends, till you invoke blessing on your Prophet.

It was narrated that Ubayy ibn Ka‘b (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

I said: O Messenger of Allah, I send a great deal of blessings upon you; how much of my du‘aa’ should be sending blessings upon you? He said: “Whatever you wish.” I said: One quarter? He said: “Whatever you wish, and if you do more, that will be better for you.” I said: One half? He said: “Whatever you wish and if you do more, that will be better for you.” I said: Two thirds? He said: “Whatever you wish and if you do more, that will be better for you.” I said: I will make all of my du‘aa’ for you. He said: “Then your concerns will be taken care of and your sins will be forgiven.”

[Tirmidhi – 2457]

He who invokes blessings upon me once, Allah showers ten blessings upon him and obliterates (his) ten sins and elevates him by ten ranks.

Musnad, 3: 102 & 261

When you hear the mu’adhdhin, repeat what he says, then invoke blessings on me for every one who invokes blessings on me once, will receive ten blessings from Allah. Then ask Allah for the waseelah to be granted to me. It is a position in paradise that may not be granted to any but one of Allah’s servants, and I dearly hope that I will be that servant. Whoever asks Allah for the waseelah for me, my intercession is guaranteed for him.

If you are ungrateful, Allah is unaffected. If you become grateful, then you have taken the first step towards becoming a true Believer. It is for this reason that the Prophet exhorted us to “Love Allah as we benefit from His grace”

“How wonderful is the case of a Believer! There is good for him in whatever happens to him -and none, apart from him, enjoys this blessing. If he receives some bounty, he is grateful to Allah and this bounty brings good to him. And if some adversity befalls him, he is patient, and this affliction, too, brings good to him.”

Quran and Hadith Quotes about Surah Ikhlas, Qiyam-al Layl

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:

“Say: He is Allah, Absolute Onenes, By Him in Whose hand my soul is, it is equal to one-third of the Quran!” (Bukhari)

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “You should pray qiyaam al-layl, for it is the habit of the righteous people who came before you, and it will bring you closer to your Lord, expiate for bad deeds, prevent sin, and expel disease from the body.” (Al-Tirmidhi and Ahmad).

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard a man reciting Qul huwa Allahu ahad, and said, It is his right. They asked, O Messenger of Allaah, what is his right? He said, Paradise is his right.

 (Reported by Imaam Ahmad, 7669)

Ahmad reported from Abu Saeed al-Khudri that a man said, O Messenger of Allah, I have a neighbor who prays at night and he only ever recites Qul huwa Allahu ahad as if he did not think much of this. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: By the One in Whose hand is my soul, it is equivalent to one-third of the Quraan.
